Fit your board game collection onto your bookcases
Shelfwright is a free planner for board game shelves. Tell it which games you own and what bookcases you have, and it works out how to fit them, cubby by cubby, using the real size of every box.
How it works
- Bring in your games. Import your collection from BoardGameGeek with your username. Box sizes come from the version you've marked on BGG. You can also search BGG for a single game, or enter a box's size by hand.
- Set up your shelves. IKEA Kallax in every size, with doors, drawers and games on top. IKEA Billy in its four sizes, with your own shelf heights. Or any bookcase, as a width, a depth and a list of shelf heights. Centimetres or inches.
- Let it pack them. Shelve sorts the whole collection from scratch, or just the new games around the ones already placed. It packs by size to fit as many games as possible, standing or lying flat as you prefer, and tells you why any game didn't fit.
- Arrange by hand. Drag boxes, turn them, and look into a cubby from above to put games in front of others. Lock a game or a whole cubby to keep it where it is. Want your co-ops together? Put them in a cubby, lock it, and shelve the rest around them.
- Take the plan to your shelves. See it in 2D or 3D, and print it to shelve from.
No account
Everything is saved in your browser. There's no sign-in, and your collection never leaves your computer except to ask BGG for box sizes, or if you choose to send it with feedback. Export a backup from the File menu to keep it safe or move it to another computer.
